5 reasons why you decided to start a new business

14/01/2020
  • Do you see yourself in these 5 reasons why you decided to start a new business? Sometimes it is worth remembering why you did it to keep motivated.

  • All of us who start a new business, once legal doubts have been resolved, such as the procedures to register as freelancers and with the business going on, we go through a time when we ask ourselves: "Who would make me fall into this mess? This is always the case, and do not trust anyone who tells you otherwise while fanning with bills.

Setting up your own business or making a living is tremendously rewarding, it makes you be proud of yourself many times. What happens is that it is a very demanding task, so it is not uncommon to lose perspective

Have a coffee and join us throughout this post, you will see how you meet again with your motivations. These are, surely, the 5 reasons why you decided to start a business.
  • #1 – To invest in yourself

  • We are not especially supporters of those phrases that decorate cups or motivational posters of half-world coworkings. But the truth is that we must agree with the one that says that investing in oneself is the best possible investment

We all have passions that drive us, to which many times we dedicate much of our time and money outside the reality of work. What happens is that not all people dare to take another step and turn them into their livelihood
  • Other entrepreneurs move by the search for their own project, stop generating for others, reverse their effort and talent in themselves. In both cases, the important thing is to put the means and motivation to work for ourselves
  • #2 – To find a better balance

  • One of the main disadvantages of being subject to the criteria of others when performing a job is that, logically, you do not have the management of your own time

Entrepreneurship is a very good way to set your priorities. You will not stop working but, you will adapt your schedule and effort to the rhythm of your family's life, not the other way around.
  • The best thing about balance is not just the fact of being there for the loved ones when you wish or need; you free other members of the family from responsibilities and can even result in an economic benefit by optimizing the expenses derived from the care of children.
  • #3 – To make decisions

  • The entrepreneur is wrong and right, like any person, but he does it based on his own criteria

Now remember the time you worked as an employee and the number of times you have seen clearly what had to be done to avoid a problem or exploit an obvious opportunity in your eyes. Have they always listened to you? Surely not, because hierarchy is what matters in companies and are usually quite strict with this.

In your role as the engine of the project, you are the ultimate decision maker: you command and apply your knowledge and intuition. The only premise is productivity.
  • #4 – To work at your own pace

  • Goodbye to work from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. with an hour for lunch and commute, jam included, to the city center every morning. From the moment you start your own project, you start to set your pace working when you are really productive and resting when necessary.

Surely you are spending more hours even than before; This is a constant in all those who launch into the arena of entrepreneurship, but still you are much happier. If you want to go to the gym in the morning and start your day at 11h no problem; If you prefer to get up early to make intensive work all year long, who will stop you?
  • In addition to the hourly flexibility, we mus take into account the geographical one, which is not at all less and is one of the most appreciated values by online entrepreneurs. Working remotely means that you only need an Internet connection and a laptop to be on your business, regardless of connecting from your office or a coffee shop in the other part of the world.
  • #5 – To set limits and respect them

  • A happy entrepreneur is one who not only defines and sets his own limits, he also has to be able to respect them if he does not want to end up burnt out.

One of the things that most workers suffer most are the invasions of both space and personal time. Emails, calls or messages at any time of day or, what is worse, at the time they finish work. You own the possibility of establishing what is acceptable or not. Nobody except from you can impose that, so play your cards well, and under no circumstances become your own exploiter
  • Did you realize the amount of good things that entrepreneurship brings with? What are the main reasons? Would you add any more? Share your comments with us!
