Newsletters and blogs about eCommerce you should read

11/05/2023
  • Here are some recommendations of newsletters and blogs about eCommerce that you may want to read (besides ours, of course).

  • The Internet has always had a strong informational component. In fact, since its beginnings, the format that has had the most weight -and still has- is the blog. Never before has it been so easy to find so much in-depth and detailed information on practically any topic. Digital marketing is no exception in this regard.
  • 9 newsletters and blogs about eCommerce and digital marketing

  • There is a huge amount of such websites and newsletters about eCommerce. To help you filter a bit, we are going to recommend you some that really stand out for the specific eCommerce segment.

Do not expect to find a ranking, in reality all these sites are relevant. They will provide you with knowledge, news and inspiration.
  • #1 – Ecommerce News

  • Undoubtedly, one of the reference publications in the sector. Its articles are characterized by touching most of the important topics (news, case studies, employment and training...).
  • The truth is that it does not matter if you are interested in eCommerce at B2C, B2B or marketplaces level, because there is plenty of information on all of them.

Of course, ecommerce-news.es is a blog, but it also works in podcast and newsletter format. Very complete, as you can see.
  • #2 – HubSpot

  • Many software tools and platforms have their own blogs (just as we do). The truth is that we find them really relevant because, after all, they are written by specialists in their particular area.

That is the case of HubSpot's blog, one of the most popular CRMs. Its articles talk a lot about customer management, but also about other interesting areas. Its tone is quite informative and interesting conclusions can always be drawn from its articles.
  • #3 – Marketing4eCommerce

  • Double recommendation in this case. The blog is great, but the newsletter does not lag behind at all. They conceive themselves as a magazine and, in this format reminiscent of a magazine, they structure all their content with current events, opinion, interviews...
  • The most interesting information is extracted and sent by email, so you have no excuse and you are always up to date. By the way: if you are one of those who prefer to listen to the news in a podcast, you also have that possibility with Marketing4eCommerce.
  • #4 – Oct8ne

  • Another blog corresponding to a tool, in this case one of the most advanced in customer care. As in the case of HubSpot, Oct8ne is particularly deep in topics related to customer care, automation, live chats and chatbots.
  • Still, it does not lose sight of other content, such as customer success stories and strategy-focused articles.

An interesting point of view that is worth visiting regularly.
  • #5 – Saas4marketing

  • From a tool blog to a blog about tools. This is what lies behind Saas4marketing.

In fact, the blog is still in its infancy, but the analyses of eCommerce applications are so in-depth, so well developed and so frequently updated, that it is more than a directory. Their newsletter is a must for anyone who wants to keep up to date with eCommerce news and the most useful tools.
  • #6 – Jordi Ordóñez

  • If you are a regular reader of our blog, you will surely be familiar with this name. Jordi has been collaborating with Oleoshop for years as an eCommerce marketing expert.

His tone is a bit irreverent, but, at the same time, he is known for calling things like they are, both in his eCommerce blog and in any other place where he is allowed to speak. That sincerity makes us especially appreciate his articles.
  • #7 – EcommLetter

  • We continue to grow our list, in this case with a new newsletter called: EcommLetter.

Actually it is not quite accurate to say that it is new, in fact it is one of the veterans. On it, the consultant Pablo Renaud combines his peculiar and personal reflections with any news that is current at the time.
  • It is also sent out on Sundays, so prepare yourself a coffee and your reading glasses (if you need them). You'll be fully informed before lunch.
  • #8 – Holded

  • Let´s return to blogs developed by a software company, although this one is somewhat different. Holded is a business management tool that emphasizes the economic and fiscal part.

Precisely because there are not so many blogs oriented to this part of the business, it may not be the most attractive, but it is no less important. In fact, it is basic.

The articles you can read here will help you to better understand how the fiscal area of online business works.
  • #9 – Marina Brocca

  • We have left for the end another essential issue that there is not so much information about: the legal one.

Marina Brocca, on her blog, addresses issues of legality in eCommerce, and we must say in her favor that she does it in a language and with a tone that we simple humans are also capable of understanding. It is didactic and accessible.
  • Of course, we greatly appreciate you reading Oleoshop blog. We believe that with these resources (counting us) you are covered in your continuing education in e-commerce.
  • Which of these newsletters and blogs are you interested in reading? Are there any you would like to add or recommend? It is your turn!
