ChatGPT Prompts for eCommerce (2)

16/03/2023
  • Let´s continue with the creation of ChatGPT prompts for eCommerce. Pay attention to all the examples we are going to discuss on this post.

  • This is the second post in a series in which we show you how to give precise instructions to the Artificial Intelligence that is revolutionizing marketing. And, moreover, we do it in a way that is especially focused on e-commerce.
  • Create prompts for online stores

  • Along the following lines we will learn how to make all kinds of texts: from metatags or keyword research to scripts for your content. And even more strategic actions.

We are going to use a tool: a Chrome extension called AIPRIM. At this point I recommend you to go to the post of this blog titled ChatGPT Prompts for eCommerce (1). There you have all the necessary information on installing and running the tool, plus some tips on manually creating prompts.

Before starting to analyse some particularly interesting ones, there is something that is important to know about AIPRIM: all the public prompts in your browser can be copied and edited to fit what you want to do, and it is certainly an advantage not to have to start from scratch.

Simply access the one you are going to use and launch it. If you go back to that query through the history (by default it is always saved), you will see that the description of the prompt is detailed in the first question, even if you have used AIPRIM without any additional instruction.

I'd better give you an example and explain it more clearly.

AIPRIM has a public prompt with which generates titles and descriptions for a blog. You only have to enter the keyword and the Artificial Intelligence returns this:
  • By doing that little trick I was telling you about, we go out and come back in. Then we can see "the guts", how the prompt has been created.
  • As you can see, we are asking ChatGPT to write in Spanish, acting as a writer specialized in meta descriptions, in addition to asking for the titles with a maximum length and the keyword at the beginning of them.

Imagine that now you want it to do the same, but in Catalan. Just copy the prompt and change "Spanish" to "Catalan". That's it.
  • Examples of good ChatGPT prompts for eCommerce

  • Now we are going to fully exploit AIPRIM using its prompts for our online store and our online marketing strategy in general.

We will go from the most strategic to the most tactical, but remember that here we are only showing you some options. How you can really get the most out of the tool is by researching and using it with your own business.
  • #1 – Prompt to create buyer persona

  • You have several options to define buyer personas in ChatGPT. Of the ones I have tried, the one that convinces me the most is the one titled: "Buyer persona legend" by user RonGPT (you can search for it by the title).

Just by entering the business area or niche and telling you which markets you are targeting, it creates in seconds a profile that we can work on. It includes demographics, psychographics, buying behaviors and a description of the person.
  • Is it perfect? No, it isn´t, but it is a good starting point.
  • #2 – Prompt for keyword research

  • We are going to search for keywords for our curtains online store. To do this we will resort to the prompt entitled: "Best keyword research in one click" from the user Reddtimes. We enter our keyword... and that's it.

In a table we have the word, difficulty and volume. Honestly: keep the word and check the volumes with Google Ads or another keyword research tool like Ubersuggest. The data are from the North American market and we are not clear about the source either.
  • #3 – Prompt to make an eCommerce structure

  • We have the keywords, but we can also create an information architecture to develop our store.

We go back to the AIPRIM search engine and locate the prompt: "SILO structure" of the user SEOWRITINGAI, now we only have to enter our keyword. In a moment we have defined both the categories and the words that we must work in each one of them.
  • Now you just have to go to your online store and shape it.
  • #4 – Prompt to create content

  • This is a somewhat delicate subject. So much so that I am not going to recommend any prompt for your product cards and much less for your blog posts. It is not that they do not exist, in fact there are many, but we are not going to recommend something that goes against Google's guidelines, so you could face a penalty now or in the future.

However, and always with criteria, you can find wonders that will inspire you when structuring and defining content of this type. Just avoid copying and pasting, contrast the information and give it your personal touch.
  • #5 – Prompt to make an editorial calendar

  • To finish off the web part, and since a blog is a must, how about using ChatGPT to create an editorial calendar that covers a whole month?

AIPRIM is our ally again. Locate the prompt: "Editorial Calendar" by Bernie Torras and let it work its magic. In just a few seconds, you have 12 perfectly structured entries (3 posts per day).
  • Do you realize how much a good use of ChatGPT can help you in eCommerce? How many hours have we saved just with these 5 prompts?

Anyway, I never tire of telling you to use this tool wisely. Not only because of penalties, as I warned before, but also because it is far from infallible and you cannot take everything it proposes at face value. Strategy and human review are still key to the business.
