How to sell on Instagram: main tools

06/08/2020
  • Selling is always easier when we have the right means. Today, we review the main tools to sell on Instagram.

  • We have talked at length about how to make Instagram generate sales. In fact, you can read this series of tips at strategic level that we have recently published.

The issue is that, to carry out the strategy, it is essential to use to tactics. Here a tool makes the difference in relation to the competition. In this post, we are going to talk about this topic giving some very useful examples
  • Why using tools on Instagram?

  • Selling on any platform is becoming more and more demanding, but in the case of this social network, in which creative and strategic possibilities are greatly limited, everything that helps us stand out from our competitors is worth every cent we pay for it.

Take advantage of its own solutions and those provided by third parties to turn Facebook image network into a sales channel that is as operational as possible. But we only recommend those that really provide something positive

The truth is that from the moment the network itself implemented the possibility of tagging products or shoppable tags in Stories, many of the tools that were used to sell externally had no reason of being so.

Still, there are some interesting exceptions that have managed to reinvent themselves to continue adding value. The rest have simply been languishing and disappearing

This is normal because the main tool for selling on Instagram is Instagram itself. Take a look at the posts that we linked above, because there we explain in detail the technical way to do it, prerequisites and detailed examples.
  • Tools to sell on Instagram

  • It is as important to enhance engagement as it is to complete Instagram features with others that it natively lacks. In this sense, we are going to see three tools that have a lot to contribute to your account.
  • #1 – Shop Social

  • The main idea Shop Social is based on is to use lifestyle as a formula for acquisition and conversion.

The images you use on Instagram usually have a different look, since they focus on conveying a context of use and generating emotions rather than showing characteristics.

Shop Social creates a store that looks very similar to that of the Instagram feed itself and with the same images that we use in the social network. It also allows you to tag products and each one of them takes us, by clicking, to a small product page where we can make the purchase from.

The idea is that you link the store from the bio of your profile, although if you do paid campaigns or have the option available organically, you can also add the link in your Stories
  • PRICE: You only have one plan for $ 49 per month. If you want, you can try it for free for two weeks.
  • #2 – Curalate

  • Similar to Shop Social (user inspiration), Curalate looks for another way to make Instagram easy “to buy from"

What stands out the most is in the amount of options and the visual aspect that is even more detailed than in other competitors that bet on simplicity and the integration of the experience with the Instagram format.

Through the link shared in the commented media (bio, Stories…), we access a page where one or more products are tagged within the same photograph

Actually, it is not very different from the shoppable tags that we can use natively, but it complements them really well with other additional functions such as statistics, the influencer search engine or the possibility of scheduling publications
  • PRICE: Sorry, but if you find it interesting you will have to request a customized offer, since they do not publish the price plans
  • #3 – Like2Know.it

  • Actually, Like2Know.it is an app that is associated with a service called rewardStyle that helps brands make use of their influencer marketing.

The way this application encourages you to sell more on Instagram is different from anything seen so far.

Those users registered in the application only have to search for images that have a certain tag created by the company. When a person likes an image with that hashtag, they receive a direct link to the product or products shown in the post.
  • PRICE: Once again, you will have to contact the company, in this case with rewardStyle service.
  • In short, I would say this type of software has survived because it has been able to contribute something else. Therefore, we recommend that you take a deep look at them and consider those distinguishing advantages applied to your business
  • What tools do you use to sell on Instagram? Do you prefer external resources or do you think it is better to do it natively? We read your comments!
