01/10/2019
  • Let´s get ready. Today, we start a complete checklist for Black Friday with 15 tasks essential to sell everything. Are you ready?

  • Black Friday is just around the corner and you have to start preparing seriously. If a few days ago we gave you the basics to prepare for BFCM, today we will get down to business with a checklist for Black Friday with 15 essential tasks that you cannot fail to implement. Today we start with the first part.

Print this list and go cross-checking tasks, you will sell all!
  • #1 – Get ready for customers who have already started searching

  • Since Black Friday has also become a tradition in Spain, there are many customers who start looking for opportunities or list what they want to gift very soon.

You should make these customers target you from the beginning so that they will remember you when looking for interesting offers, willing to buy.

So, do not hesitate to define what your promotions are going to consist of as soon as possible, and to let them be glimpsed as quickly as you can.
  • #2– Always have a plan B

  • Black Friday is a tough time for business. When you work under pressure, there are many things that can go wrong, or at least not that good you would want

For this reason, it is important that you always think of an alternative in each of your key performance pillars.

What if you run out of stock of a product with an important role in any of your promotions? What alternatives do you have if your courier service has too much work to assume your shipments? What happens if someone on your team gets sick in the middle of a campaign?

It is not a question of being jinx, but to watch our backs in case something goes wrong.
  • #3 – Make sure you can take on peak demands

  • We already mentioned that when we talked about the logistics section of Black Friday: It is important that your business can successfully manage the sharp increase that will surely experience, both in terms of product demand and traffic on your online store

Plan your purchases very well so that no stockouts occur, especially in those products you are going to promote more visibly.

And prevent your web from crashing at the worst time because the server has not been able to manage a peak traffic point. This will not happen with Oleoshop because our servers offer unlimited capacity and adapt to the changing hosting needs of each online store during the year.
  • #4 – Start your email marketing campaigns now

  • An excellent way to build expectation is to prepare your customers and subscribers for what is coming. And if it were not enough, in addition, email marketing turns out to be the mean with a higher conversion ratio of Black Friday campaigns.

So, get to work with email marketing and start planning your campaigns and layout and schedule your emails now that you still have time.

What kind of emails can you send?

    • You can send an email announcing your Black Friday sales and explaining to your subscribers what they will consist of before the rest of your audience know about them (social media mainly).
    • You can create and send an exclusive offer for your subscribers or for early buyers of some product groups.
    • And of course, you can announce the start dates of your BFCM campaign now and send a reminder email the day they start.
  • #5 –Create designs to advertise your sales

  • Now it is the perfect time to create all the designs of your Black Friday and Cyber Monday campaign.

If you have done things right, today you already know what your promotions will consist of and have a nice calendar so that you do not get lost. Therefore, you can get ahead of the maelstrom getting your designs ready

    Have these designs ready:
    • The slider of your online store
    • The photo of your social networks header
    • Your publications in social media (a version for each of your networks)
    • Banners for your website
    • Advertising Banners
    • Header photos for your emails
  • #6 – Plan your ads/campaigns and their texts

  • In the same way you should have the designs ready to avoid losing a minute during the campaign, now that you have time start to write all the texts of your campaigns, ads and status, as well as plan and schedule your ads.

If you leave it for later, you may make inexcusable mistakes accidentally, or ads configuration failure from rushing... So, you had better do it now that you have it clear and your free
